Pippin

This week Pippin opens in the Garland Auditorium! We've got Magic to Do just for you! It is sure to be a spectacular show. Follow Pippin and his magic crew as we lure him to a life of magic and "fulfillment". It's a great show with humor, evil and MAGIC. I have been encouraging everyone I know to come witness the performance.

Surprise

Surprise birthday parties are intended for the birthday girl/boy to be surprised and the surprisers to not. Although, it's quite the opposite. The reaction of the person who is undergoing the surprise is spontaneous and difficult to anticipate. So there I lay. Under a friend's dusty bed, using several reusable shopping bags as a barrier between me and the birthday girl. I anticipate my roll out from under the bed and a high pitch scream that is sure to cause a stir.

Puerto Rico

Liz has journeyed to Puerto Rico!!!!! The U.S. territory where none of its citizens have the ability to VOTE! yaaaay....
She is loving her trip, but adapting to hot weather after a six month stent of being in bitter cold can be a difficult adjustment. I am very envious. She has been sending pictures of her trip and each day her skin is finding a darker identity and no longer plays twin to the pale crystal sands.
My favorite part of her vacation is pretending I am with her and posting about "our" trip on social media.

Blogs are coming to a close, but FranPet won't go away. With Spring approaching, it's time for the branches to branch out and for me to do the same. I will continue to blog to improve my writing. You can't get rid of me yet!

TIME WARP

Today we set our clocks one hour forward. It feels like it is only 8:21, but really it is 9:21. I don't need to go to bed yet! When 6:30 rolls around tomorrow, I'll be singing a similar song, one entitled: "I don't need to wake up!" But, I do. And I will need to everyday this week. The time change throws me off every year and every year. Time is an illusion, we do we need to change it anyway!

Yesterday was Thornton Academy's Winter Ball. Micheala Courtney and I wore the exact same dress, shoes and sported identical updos. We staged multiple fights where we depicted two high-strung teenagers who find each other at the ball in the same dress, hair tugging and minor profanities were necessary to draw crowds. It was what one would call modern Shakespeare. Every element no-so expertly crafted made it ridiculous.

Poetry

We use language everyday, I am using language right now. Language is unescapable. It creeps in and asks you to elucidate something. Your response? Poetry. A songlike, no rules, art form that requires a writing utensil and paper or napkin as J.K. Rowling would use. Thus creating a vivid masterpiece, as vivid you can make such illusive companions called words. 

We write and imagine and learn. We are all poets.
